1:50

5400 seconds is the time that it takes, or at least should take, for the train from Verona to Milano to complete its journey. I have developed in the course of 3 years a relationship with this route, slowly it became a routine, a commodity, in a way, even if uncomfortable, a home.

Although the feeling of travelling by train appears to be atrociously infinite, it offers, differently from other methods of transportation, the possibility of observing the landscape with a different eye, nevertheless it opens the extra-urban landscape, the province and the industrial zones to infinite creative possibilities.

In this photographic storytelling, I retrace visually the aforementioned train line, grounding down photographically its geometry, its nature and the extinction of life in the countryside. What I offer is therefore the silence of whatever happens outside the windows of a train.
